How do I get to and from the event?

The event is located at Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Road, Ascot Vale. Enter via Gate 1 on Epsom Road. For information on public transport, parking and shuttles, see our Getting Around page.

Is there an app for Global Table?

Yes, the Global Table app is available for Android and iOS. It allows you to:

  • Plan your day
  • Gain speedy entry to the event
  • View the most up-to-date program and list of speakers and exhibitors
  • Message other delegates
  • See who’s attending

 

How do I use Business Matching to schedule a meeting with someone?

You should have received an email inviting you to Business Matching. Click on the unique URL in this email to activate your account, then follow the instructions below:

  1. Tap on Directory. A list of available attendees will appear.
  2. Use the search box to filter the list by name, email, company or title. Tap Apply to apply filters.
  3. Once you’ve found the person you’d like to meet with, tap Request Appointment to select the attendee. Tap Add to add more attendees.
  4. Tap Choose next to Time and Location. Available time slots and locations will appear by day. Use the arrows at the top to move to another date. Click on a time slot to add it to your appointment.
  5. Give your meeting a subject and, if necessary, a description to send to your requested delegate.
  6. Tap Send Appointment Invitation. An email will be sent to the attendee for them to accept or decline your invitation. The attendee can also view the invitation in the Global Table event app.

Who is attending Global Table?

You can see a full list of attendees in the Global Table app. The app is available for download now on the App Store and Google Play store.

 

How should I plan my schedule? 

Use the Global Table app to create your personalised schedule for each day. Navigate to the Schedule icon on the app home screen. You will see all sessions listed by day. Tap the + icon to add a session to your own schedule. To view your personalised schedule tap the My Schedule tab at the top of the screen.

 

Is there free WiFi at the event?

Yes, WiFi is available throughout the event on the Showgrounds network. Select Showgrounds as the network. You’ll be asked to log-in to access the network. Free WiFi is available in 1-hour timeslots, however you can log back on as soon as your 1-hour expires.

If you’re a VIP ticketholder, you can access a separate WiFi network with uninterrupted access in the VIP Lounge called Global Table VIP. The WiFi password will be available in the VIP Lounge.

 

If I didn’t purchase a VIP Pass will I be able to buy food and beverages at the event?

Yes. There will be numerous food and beverage outlets, catering to all dietary requirements.

 

What is there to eat at the event?

There will be a range of food and drink on offer, catering to all dietary requirements. There will also be a bar open from 3pm-6pm each day with drinks available for purchase.

 

Will there be a printed program?

Yes, there will be a printed program available on-site containing the daily schedule, list of sessions in the Trade Zone and conference room, exhibitors, and a simple on-site map. For the most up-to-date information, please refer to the Global Table app.

 

Will there be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of each session?

Yes, you can ask questions in all sessions, except the keynote sessions.

To submit a question anonymously, use the Global Table app. Find the relevant session in Schedule, select the session and then use the Live Q&A function to submit your question. Questions can be submitted one hour before and up to thirty minutes after this session.

 

Where can I find out more about daily activities?

Check the Global Table app for the most up-to-date information.

 

Is there a Cloak Room?

Yes. The Cloak Room is located next to the arrival and registrations desk.

 

Where is the Lost and Found area?

Head to the Cloak Room, opposite the arrival and registrations desk, to report anything lost or found.

 

Do you have information on what to do during my time in Melbourne?

What does each ticket type give you access to?

VIP passes include:

  • Access to keynote presentations
  • Access to all conference sessions
  • Access to the Innovation Precinct and Trade Zone
  • Priority access to Business Matching two weeks prior to event
  • Access to the VIP Lounge
  • Complimentary food and drinks each day at the event
  • Complimentary access to the Opening Night Event on Tuesday 3 September

Standard passes include:

  • Access to all conference sessions
  • Access to the Innovation Precinct and Trade Zone
  • Access to Business Matching one week prior to event

Discovery passes include:

  • Access to the Innovation Precinct and Trade Zone

 

How do I upgrade my ticket?

Visit the registration desk near the front entrance, where the team will be happy to assist you.

 

Who can access the keynote sessions?

VIP pass holders and Standard pass holders who added keynotes to their pass are the only delegates who can access keynote sessions.

To upgrade your pass before the event, email info@globaltable.com.au by COB Friday 30 August 2019. You can also upgrade your pass at the event. Visit the registration desk at the front entrance, where the team will be happy to assist you.

 

I can no longer attend. Can I give my pass to someone else?

Yes, you can arrange to transfer your pass to another person from the same company at no charge. All requests must be received by 5pm Friday 30 August. Please advise us in writing at info@globaltable.com.au and we will arrange the transfer. Please note that the person you are transferring your ticket to will need to complete the registration details so their profile within the Global Table app is accurate and others can contact them.

 

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?

No, as per our terms and conditions, we cannot offer refunds, but you can transfer your ticket to someone else by emailing info@globaltable.com.au.

 

How can I add a site visit to my itinerary?

You can add a site visit to your itinerary up until 5pm Thursday 29 August.  You can do this online:

  • Visit globaltable.com.au and click ‘Login’. You will need your confirmation number.
  • Click ‘modify’.
  • Click through your original answers, until you reach the Site Visit page.
  • Add your desired site visit.
  • Click through to the end to process payment. Note you will need your credit card.
