Getting to and from Global Table

The event is located at Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Road, Ascot Vale. Enter via Gate 1 on Epsom Road.

Shuttles to the event

Shuttles will depart from the following hotels at 8:00am each morning and travel direct to the Showgrounds.

  • Novotel/Ibis Melbourne Central
  • Novotel Southwharf
  • Crown Promenade (for guests staying at Crown Towers or Crown Metropol, it’s a short walk to Crown Promenade to catch the shuttle)
Shuttles from the event

Return shuttles will depart from the Showgrounds and make stops at each hotel above. Shuttles will depart the Showgrounds at 4:00pm, 5:00pm and 6:00pm each night.

For the opening night event on Tuesday 3 August, extra shuttles will run to take guests to Meat Market, 3 Blackwood St, North Melbourne. Buses will depart the Showgrounds at 6:00pm, 6:10pm and 6:20pm and travel to the Meat Market for the event commencing at 6:30pm.

Arriving by car

Parking is available onsite at Melbourne Showgrounds for $15 per day. Access to the site is via Gate 5 on Langs Road, Ascot Vale.

Arriving by bus

Bus No. 472 (Williamstown to Moonee Ponds) stops along Langs Road and Epsom Road.

Arriving by tram

Tram No. 57 (Elizabeth Street City to West Maribyrnong) stops at Showgrounds Village Shopping Centre (stop 32) on Epsom Road. From here it’s a three-minute walk to Gate 1 of Melbourne Showgrounds.

Arriving by train

Trains will not be running directly to Melbourne Showgrounds station for this event.

Take the Craigieburn line and get off at Newmarket Station. From there, catch Tram No. 57 towards  West Maribyrnong and get off at Showgrounds Village Shopping Centre (stop 32) on Epsom Road.

  • Lift access to venue areas with audio information and Braille buttons
