Join a panel of experts to discuss food safety and traceability and the growth of Australia’s food trade with China

In 2008, China experienced a significant infant formula scandal that changed the way consumers and businesses approach food safety and traceability.

Following this event, and other similar scandals across the world such as China’s floating pig scandal, the current African swine flu, last year’s strawberry tampering incident in Australia, there has been a heightened focus on the importance of prevention and supply chain integrity across the industry.

Expert panellists will explore the role of food traceability systems, industry standards and emerging technologies in maintaining and growing Australia’s food trade with China.

The panel discussion will also explore emerging technologies being implemented by Australian businesses in the field, including blockchain, the use of QR codes, nanotechnologies and robotics.

Panellists include:

Tom Parker, Vice President, ACBC Victoria (Moderator)
Jet Li, Managing Director, Quality Associates
John Pabon, Founder & Chief Advisor, Fulcrum Strategic Advisors

Date: Wednesday 4th September 2019
